Asta Olivia Nordenhof (1988) is an award-winning poet and author from Copenhagen, Denmark. She is a graduate from the prestigious Danish Academy of Creative Writing, where she now teaches.
Nordenhof made her literary debut in 2011 with the novel Et ansigt il Emily (A Face for Emily), for which she was awarded the Munch-Christensen Debut Award. Her 2013 collection of poems titled det nemme og det ensomme (the easiness and the loneliness) sold more than 10 000 copies in Denmark, and she won a number of prizes, among them the Montana Literary Award.
In 2020, Nordenhof published her novel Penge på lommen (Money to Burn). It is the first book in a planned septology revolving around the fire on the passenger ferry Scandinavian Star.
For Money to Burn, Asta Olivia Nordenhof has been awarded the PO Enquist Prize and the European Union Prize for Literature. She was also shortlisted for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.
The Devil Book, the long-awaited second installment of a planned septology, was published by Gads Forlag in August 2023.
