Reviews

“This powerful first in a new thriller series from Swedish sisters Grebe and Träff introduces a delightfully flawed heroine.”
Publishers Weekly (US)

“Grebe–Träff succeed in making the book balance on a constant, precipitous edge – on the one hand Siri is unstable, perhaps the threat is just a figment of her imagination; on the other hand, maybe some madman really is out to get her. The fact that you come to suspect nearly everyone involved in this novel says a lot about Grebe–Träff’s ability to create characters.”
Dagens Nyheter (SE)

“Crystal clear intrigue, interesting characters that awaken your curiosity, and unceasingly suspenseful. What more can be asked of a psychological thriller? Some Kind of Peace is a debut novel entirely out of the ordinary.”
BTJ (SE)

“A complex and frightening story that grabs hold of the reader and won’t let go until the very last page.”
Östgöta-Corren (SE)

“Tense and chilling, this is a thriller for readers who enjoyed Camilla Läckberg’s The Ice Princess.”
Booklist (US)

More Bitter Than Death tells a frightening tale of violence against women. It is skillfully constructed and offers many surprising turns. I am enjoying myself so much I simply can’t put it down.”
Skånska Dagbladet (SE)

“Grebe and Träff have created a reading experience that stays with you, especially due to how they handle the theme of love in such a thought-provoking way. […] Grebe and Träff’s future in Swedish crime fiction is without a doubt a bright one.”
Smålandsposten (SE)

“This is really, really good. It’s wonderful to find such a page-turner that is virtually impossible to put down.”
Med näsan i en bok, Blog (SE)

“Sisters Grebe and Träff have with this psychological thriller established their names as competent successors to Läckberg and Marklund.”
Litteratursiden (DK)

“I can’t put it down, the book is so thrilling. […] Sisters Grebe and Träff are a very successful author duo.”
Litteraturmagazinet (SE)

“This is their third book and the best one yet. […] The pace heats up gradually and there are skillful shifts between past and present.”
Dagens Nyheter (SE)

“The third book about psychologist Siri Bergman doesn’t disappoint. […] Grebe and Träff move skillfully between the present and 1988. This technique creates suspense far more titillating than simple, downright action.”
Dast Magazine (SE)

“It’s very good. Before You Died is one of the best Swedish crime novels that I’ve read this year, the many character portrayals show depth, nuance and sharp edges..”
Sydsvenskan (SE)

“Grebe and Träff are among the best from the new generation of Swedish crime writers. Once more they prove to be an author duo to be counted on. The Man Without a Heart is just as good as the previous books in the series – a well-written thriller that is simply hard to put down.”
Smålandsposten (SE)

“The book is entertaining to the very last page, both when it comes to the crimes and the complicated personal relationships.”
Litteraturmagazinet (SE)

“There’s a crispness to the narrative style that feels fresh and new. […] They’re definitely among the top ten best crime queens of today.”
Dast Magazin (SE)

“Grebe & Träff navigate superbly between reality and fiction. They give words to that which is never said. […] Frightful, yet at the same time a thrilling read from the first to the last page. […] In other words, an urgent story.”
Ölandsbladet (SE)

“The sisters have established themselves as the more skilled suspense writers among all the new crime writers who have graced the stage since the turn of the millennium.”
Dast Magazine (SE)

“The book holds an upsetting and heart-rending psychological drama. You can’t help but being moved by the tragedy that seems to be the result of the longing of a child betrayed. […] The novel is complex, and yet so scaled back that all parts feel meaningful and bring the narrative forward. Camilla Grebe and Åsa Träff don’t revel in the melancholy, but offer both a thrilling hunt for the perpetrator as well as a chance to understand the circumstances of a human tragedy.”
Norran (SE)

“They’re great storytellers.”
Dagens Nyheter (SE)

“They tell the story in a way that grabs hold of you – this is not for sensitive readers. […] It’s thrilling all the way, and unclear who the culprit is until the very end.”
Dalarna Tidning (SE)

“A moving crime novel.”
BTJ (SE)

Through Fire and Water is a both poignant and thrilling crime novel.”
Skånska Dagbladet (SE)

“Grebe and Träff have yet again succeeded in writing a thrilling psychological crime novel, well worth reading.”
Crimegarden (SE)

“A thrilling and moving tale.”
Allers (SE)

“In Through Fire and Water, the authors have succeeded in writing a credible story, a story that seizes hold of you and moves you. It’s good, really good. Sweden is teeming with crime queens. Grebe & Träff are without a doubt among the very best of them.”
Boktok73, Blog (SE)

“Well-written, accessible, thrilling and with good characters. […] Poignant, moving and a little harrowing. But very, very good.”
Bims Blogg (SE)
