Samuel Bjørk shortlisted for the 2022 Riverton Prize

Samuel Bjørk’s latest book White as Snow has been shortlisted for the 2022 Riverton Prize, the award for the best Norwegian crime novel of the year.

The jury’s motivation reads as follows:

“In White as Snow, Bjørk returns to the beginning of his series about Holger Munch and Mia Krüger, and takes us back to their very first case. […] Yet another enjoyable meeting with Munch and Krüger in a cleverly constructed story that cements Samuel Bjørk’s position in the top-tier of Nordic crime.”

White as Snow, which was published by Cappelen Damm in October 2021, is one of five titles on the shortlist. A winner will be announced at a ceremony at the House of Literature in Oslo on April 7th. The winning novel will be Norway’s contribution to the 2022 Glass Key Award, which is the award given to the best Nordic crime novel of the year.

This is the second time Samuel Bjørk is shortlisted for this prestigious award.
